Time for Tempranillo in Texas

by MPI Traveler on August 30, 2012

Kim McPherson of McPherson Cellars announced that he is opening a new tasting room in Fredericksburg, Texas featuring his High Plains grown Tempranillo.  This grape loves the climate here since it mimics its native Spain with cool nights and warm days.  His label, La Herencia, pays homage to his family’s four decades in the wine business with a wine  that is a blend of tempranillo, mourvedre, granache and syrah grapes.  Come taste his new creation at the Fredericksburg Food and Wine Fest (fbgfoodandwinefest.com)  October 27.  For more information call:  806.687.9463 or 830.997.8515
