Montpellier

One of the nice things about the Ibis Styles hotel brand is that your room is yours from noon until noon.  So if you arrive around noon you don’t have to wait for hours for check in time.  I like that!  We arrived from Toulouse and made a short walk to our hotel (Ibis Styles, of course!) which is one block from the Place de la Comédie, the main plaza in the city of Montpellier with dozens of restaurants with outside eating areas, open space with fountains and just great people watching.
Place de la comedie After getting checked in we headed out to grab some lunch and we opted for  La Piazza Papa, a small pizza chain in France, which has a nice outdoor eating space on the plaza.  After a nice pizza and a bottle of wine, we wandered around a bit and caught up on our new favorite French reality TV shows: Bienvenue au Camping, which has 5 owners of campsites compete for a prize of ‘best camping site’ and L’addition, s’il vous plait which puts 4 restaurants in a region in a similar competition.  We may have napped, it is vacation after all! We walked around for an hour or so then headed to dinner at La Creperie de la Comedie, a small restaurant that offers a wide choice of galettes and crepes.  It was a good meal and the service was quite nice.
