Major Overhaul of the Willows Landscape

by Chip (aka Mark) Graham on August 27, 2015

Rene and Team We are in the process of making some major changes to the landscape at the Willows of Texas property in Fredericksburg. We have a new landscape crew and they are doing some amazing work. The walkways around Nandina House are being widened and the plants have been thinned to be more drought tolerant and lower maintenance.

New DrainageThe main driveway and parking area for Casa Grande and the Sundown Suite are being reworked. The dry creek beds near Sonora Cottage have been cleaned and lined with river rock for easy drainage during the Hill Country’s sudden rains. The garden around Sonora Cottage has been completely updated with Southwestern style river rocks surrounding native plants. And we have shrunk the overall size of the “island” to accent the lovely and tranquil sitting area.

Much more work is being done inside and out. Come visit this fall and see the fabulous Texas Hill Country and our new look!

WOW! Just returned from Fredericksburg and this was my first visit since the landscape renovation. It almost doesn’t look like the same place. Everything is so clean looking, all the leaves and debris is gone, the flower beds look amazing. Also, the wider pathways with the stone slabs and river rock is so inviting you can’t help but want to walk around and see more. The backyard of Nandina is unbelievable, from the painted slab where the hot tub sits to the stone and rock gardens it is just amazing. So exciting to see the Willows really coming into it’s own and can’t wait to see the new upcoming developments.
